Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Cars / Track Championship Round 3

Unfortunately this event has been postponed until September 23 due to forecasts for significant rain over the weekend. It now looks as though these forecasts were inaccurate however a call needed to be made early. All event details remain the same other than the date. We hope to see you all there!

The Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Cars are coming to Springmount Raceway on August 5! Come and see these ground-pounding 4,000 horsepower machines as they hit speeds of up to 400km/h!

This event also forms Round 3 of Springmount Raceway’s 2017 Track Championship Series so will include a great line-up of supporting categories, plus there will be pro burnout demonstrations during the sun break which will be broadcast on a big LED screen so you won’t miss a thing from your spot on the hill!

There will also be a Test & Tune on Friday night which will be the first ever racing at Springmount Raceway under permanent lighting, so come along and make a weekend of it!

Food, bar and camping available, and a free jumping castle for the kids!

Event details are as follows:

Competitor/camping gates open 2pm – 9pm Friday & 7am Saturday
Scrutineering from 4pm – 8pm Friday & 7am – 11am Saturday
Spectator gates open 8:30am Saturday (Spectators also welcome on Friday but access will be through the competitor/camping gates)
Test & Tune from 6pm – 9pm Friday & 8:30am – 11am Saturday
Racing starts 11am Saturday
Nitro Funny Cars ‘salute to the crowd’ at 1:30pm and racing at 2:30pm, 4:30pm and 6:30pm

Spectators (Saturday only) – $40 adult non-member, $35 adult member, $15 child (5-15), free for children under 5, $95 family (2 adults + 2 children)
Spectators (Friday and Saturday) – $50 adult non-member, $45 adult member, $20 child (5-15), free for children under 5, $120 family (2 adults + 2 children)
VIP Pass (includes gate entry and access to the VIP lounge in the control tower with food provided and a cash bar) – $150 per person (please email contact@springmountraceway.com to book)
Camping – Free for entrants and pit crew, $10 for all others (one or both nights)
Entrant – Test & Tune only (non member) – $100

Additional Competitor Information

Nominate your car or bike below. Note that there are three (3) options – “Test & Tune”, “Race” or “Test & Tune and Race”. The Test & Tune will be run from 6pm – 9pm Friday night and again from 8am – 11am on Saturday morning. The entrant fee for the Test & Tune covers either or both of these sessions, but does not cover racing which starts at 11am. Select “Test & Tune” if you do not wish to be part of the round of the Track Championship Series. The “Race” option covers racing in the round of the Track Championship Series which will include three (3) rounds of qualifying plus three (3) rounds of racing in a Chicago Shootout format, plus a final. This will run from 11am until approximately 7pm on Saturday. The “Test & Tune and Race” option covers both the Test & Tune and Race sessions.

The Track Championship Series is being run over five (5) rounds with points being allocated to each entrant at each round which will be tallied up to determine the overall Series Champion for each bracket at the end of the year. Winners and runner-ups of each bracket at each round will also receive prize money and trophies.
